Works great with the controller

I was on the market for a dosing pump and was looking into some of the other options but where so expensive this little unit works great although you need a hydros controller it’s comparable in cost to the expensive ones with so many more features. It’s nice that the brains are in the controller so if something happens to the pump I can swap out super easily.

Update: Dosing pump not accurate

Update: Hydros recently updated their firmware in July 2024, after the update I was able to successfully calibrate the dosing pump. Pump is most accurate for dosing a minimum of 1.5mL or greater per minute.

Dosing pump not accurate

I was not able to correctly calibrate the dosing pump after following the instructions and the volume output was not accurate. I don't recommend the pump for aquariums less than 90g and you need to dose less than 1mL

Me again.

I was disheartened when I couldn’t use this piece of equipment, but that’s on me. I apologize for the hasty review.

Missed the fine print that I needed a controller for it

I missed the part where I needed a controller for it…I’m sure it works. I just didn’t read the fine print.

We believe this does not warrant a 1-star review because you were not aware that a Hyros extension requires a Hyros controller. This review seems unfairly critical. We kindly ask you to reconsider and possibly revise your feedback.
