BRS CO2 Scrubber – Enhance pH Stability for a Thriving Reef Tank
Excess carbon dioxide (CO2) is the leading cause of low pH in home aquariums, which can slow coral growth. The CO2 Scrubber from BRS available at Reef Supplies helps combat this by filtering out CO2 before it enters your protein skimmer. By connecting it directly to your skimmer’s venturi and using CO2 absorption media (sold separately), you can effectively raise your tank’s pH and create a more stable environment for your reef.

Easy Setup & Maintenance

Connect the tubing from the reactor to your protein skimmer’s air intake.

Remove the refillable cartridge and add 1 Tbsp of RODI water to the bottom of the reactor body (without touching the CO2 media).

Fill the cartridge with your preferred CO2 absorbing media and place it back.

Monitor pH levels during the first few days. When pH starts to drop (typically after 1-2 weeks), replace the CO2 media. Many media types include a color-change indicator for easy monitoring.
