The pump seems to be very well made. It seems to make a bit of a noise when in operation; I'm not sure if this is normal or not, we shall see.

Regarding the noise, it's normal for an AC pump to generate some sound during operation. Additionally, the more the output is restricted, the more noticeable the noise can become. If you're looking for something quieter, we’d recommend checking out our DC pumps, which tend to operate more silently.
